DEFY Bags is way overdue for a shout-out from Backroad City. So here goes...
Functional, sexy, over-engineered products, designed by passionate humans, made locally by skilled hands, and shipped directly to customers. That's how I've seen DEFY since I first stumbled-upon their existence ~2018.
Those on DEFY's mailing list (which feels super exclusive, even though it's easy to join) might be familiar with their "off menu" ordering option. In short, they will make any of their existing products in the material combination of your choice (the palette of materials DEFY works with is out of this world). I had seen some of their leather bags come with a buffalo plaid interior, and that's a pattern I want to paint the world in! So I sent them an off menu request to make one of their small Void pouches in Horween Buffalo Plaid Waxed Canvas. I showed them the money, they made me the bag! They are so freakin' cool!
