New York City has a welcoming, diverse motorcycle culture. I wish I knew the half of it. I dabble in it when I can, and find myself coming back for more.
Moto Market NYC is one of the many motorcycle gatherings that I've heard about in the city. It's a swap meet, mini vendor expo, and all-around gathering of local riders. I finally stopped by one of their events this passed Sunday.
The venue was MÔTÔ SPIRITS, a distillery in Brooklyn. In their own words, they do small batch, rice-based whiskeys and specialty spirits discovered during motorcycle trips around the world. I tasted their whiskey and it was pretty wild. Even brought some home.
I found a few moto friends and spied some local motorcycle legends that are all over social media if you know who to follow. Drop by the next one and immerse yourself in two-wheeling. Or better yet, vendor-up and bring some parts, goods, or a bike to sell!
